    Rates & Insurance

    Psychotherapy Session Duration:

Standard sessions are 50 minutes.  If you would like an extended session at 75 minutes, this is also an option.  I have day and evening appointments Monday through Thursday at this time.

    Rates:

My fee structure rates are provided at the time of the initial phone consultation.

    Initial 20-minute Phone Consultation:

No fee; used to determine the nature of what is bringing you in to therapy at this time and whether or not it is a ‘good fit’ to work together

    Payment:

Payment is due at the time the service is rendered (at the end of the session).

For payment, I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards (via Square).  There is also the option to use Paypal with an Invoice sent to you or Zelle through your bank.

There is a 4% processing fee added to the session charge for use of either Square or Paypal for payment.

    Cancelation Policy:

If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 24 hours beforehand.  Otherwise, you will be charged a $100 late cancelation fee.  This includes missed appointments as well.

    Insurance:

I am an Out-of-Network Provider which means I do not contract directly with any insurance companies.

When insurance is billed for therapy services, a diagnosis is required for coverage which remains part of your medical records.  You may contact your insurance health plan to inquire about Out-of-Network coverage for therapy services (sometimes called Behavioral Health coverage).  Depending on your health insurance plan, a portion of the fee may be covered and reimbursed to you directly.

If you are interested in utilizing your insurance coverage in this way, I am happy to provide you with a receipt for services called a “Super Bill” that you can submit to your insurance provider following a session.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your Insurance Health Provider to help determine your benefits:

    • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
    • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it?
    • What are the Out-Of-Network benefits for therapy services? And, what is the percentage or amount reimbursed for a session?

If you have questions about the out-of-network reimbursement or payment, please contact me at 925-222-1568 to discuss.
